HOPE FOR ANIMALS
You may have noticed the
plight of the dogs and cats on the streets and it may have touched your
heart and filled it with compassion…???!!!
A
small group of animal-friends called SAVE OUR FRIENDS ASSOCIATION (SOFA) is
working hard to reduce the number of such suffering animals at least in
Kandy, the “hill-capital” of Sri Lanka: we have so far sterilized and
vaccinated 15000 dogs and 2500 cats, treated all those, which were sick or
had skin-ailments, rescued 4000 puppies and kittens and gave them for
adoption, saved hundreds of accident-victims and are giving shelter to 450
strays permanently.
